HiSET/High School Diploma
One of our top goals at New Hampshire Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her high school equivalency/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at New Hampshire Job Corps are automatically enrolled into our HSE program. We also provide our students the option of attaining their online high school diploma program which is paid for by the center.
English Language Learning Program
Students with limited English proficiency will enroll in our English Language Learning (ELL) program. Students identified for ELL will take the BEST exam to determine their language proficiency levels.
Tutoring programs are available where students are tutored by instructors or by fellow students (Peer Student Tutors). Students interested in getting into a tutoring program may contact their instructors or the Academic Manager.
Driver's Education is available to all students needing their New Hampshire driver's License. Students are trained by a New Hampshire State Certified Driving Instructor with many years experience teaching young people the rules of the road.
Advanced Training Programs
We provide two Advanced Training Programs: Advanced Career Training (ACT) and Off Center Training (OCT). These programs are offered with our college partners. To qualify for these programs, a student must have a high school diploma or HSE (from our center or another educational facility) and have successfully completed a career technical training program at Job Corps.
Benefits of our Advanced Programs include:
- academic advisement, mentoring, and tutoring
- housing and recreation
- meals provided by Job Corps, on-and-off center
- transportation to and from college of choice
